Inspector Education Requirements 2026
The Director, Office of the Director of Primary Education vide letter No. DPE/MKM/efile/105/2025/2596 dated 14/10/2025 has directed the State Examination Board to organize the examination for Assistant Education Inspector Aptitude Test (AEIAT) (Class-3) (Primary Schools). The State Examination Board has organized this examination in the following details. The qualifications, experience, age etc. for this examination are as per the notification No. K/SH/24/2025/ED/MIS/efile/3/2022/0013/CH dated 04/04/2025 of the Education Department and the notification No. GH/SH/02/PRE/112012 dated 21/01/2021. /SF-5/K has been kept as per the recruitment rules. The State Examination Board will organize the examination as per the details given in this notification and the result of the examination will be given to the office of the Director, Primary Education. The further process will be done by the office of the Director, Primary Education.
The Director, Primary Education vide letter No. DPE/MKM/efile/105/2025/2596 dated 14/10/2025, out of the total number of posts allotted for direct recruitment, there are currently 204 posts as per the attached sheet. The rank-wise list of direct recruitment posts to be filled by the District/Town Education Committee for the posts is enclosed herewith. In addition, the posts of Assistant Education Inspector are being filled by the District/Town Education Committee, and in this case of direct recruitment, one post is to be filled by a Divyang candidate as per the attached sheet as per the certified roster register. Therefore, one post for the disabled in each District/Town Education Committee shall be filled from all the categories of disability (A, B, C and D&E) prescribed by the Education Department vide Resolution No. PRE/112012/C.F.A-5/K (Part-1) dated 14/12/2022. And in this recruitment, the post shall be filled from a category other than the category of disability from which the post is filled, in which case the decision of the Recruitment Committee shall be final.

Education Qualification : -
(a) possess a bachelor's degree in Arts or Science or Commerce and a degree in education obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and
(b)(i) a bachelor's degree in education obtained from any of the Teacher Educational Institutions recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); or
(ii) two years certificate course of Primary Teachers Certificate or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) of the State Examination Board of Gujarat obtained from any of the Teacher Educational Institutions recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); or
(iii) a four years bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or four years. bachelor's degree in education obtained from NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutions.
Experience : -
have about five years separate or combined experience of teaching or inspection or administration in the Government, or Panchayat, or Local Bodies, or Grant- in-Aid, or Non Grant-in- Aid private primary school, or upper primary school, or secondary school, or higher secondary school or primary education Adhyapan Mandir or District Institute of Education and Training on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Teacher or Vidhya sahayak, Class III in the subordinate services of the Directorate of the Primary Education; (E) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and Page 2 (F) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.
Age Limit : -
(A) not be more than 42 years of age: Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967: Provided further that nothing contained in clause (b) of sub-rule (9) of rule 8 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 shall be applicable in so far as reiaxation of upper age limit as prescribed above is concerned: Provided further that upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections and in favour of a Woman in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
