The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, NonMinisterial post in various Ministries/Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/ Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in Central Board of Indirect Page 2 of 81 Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 – Age Limit:
The age limit for the SSC MTS Exam is 18-25 years and 18-27 years. Some departments require a maximum age of 25 years, while others require a maximum age of 27 years. The vacancies are distributed based on Category, Age, and state.
Nationality/ Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri
Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of
Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Reservation :
Reservation will be provided for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes
(ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Exservicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), etc. as per
extant Govt. Orders. The Commission makes the selection of candidates in accordance with the
vacancies reported by the User Departments for various posts. The Commission
does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any User
Department. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation
roster and earmarking of vacancies for different categories are under the domain
of the User Departments.
